The house of the man famous for his PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds streams was fired upon by unknown assailants while he was broadcasting live via Twitch.

Guy Beahm, popularly known as Dr. Disrespect, stopped his Twitch broadcast, where he was seen playing Call of Duty: Black Ops battle royale beta, and left his station after hearing an unknown noise. When he returned to his station, without his usual wig and glasses to address his viewers, Beahm said someone shot at his house.

According to Beahm, the shot broke his windows upstairs. He also revealed that this was the second shooting incident at his house. The first incident broke his car's window. Before ending his Twitch broadcast, Beahm called the perpetrator of the drive-by shooting "p*ssy."

Second Shooting Incident At Dr. Disrespect's Home

Julia Alexander of Polygon reported that this was the second time that a deputy was dispatched to Beahm's home to investigate a shooting incident after a call was made around 1:30 p.m. EDT. Polygon did not mention the city where Beahm lives for security reasons. Reports have it that Beahm lives with his wife and young daughter.

A spokesman from a southern California city's sheriff department said they won't release the official identification of the person who made the call due to privacy concerns. However, the authority's description of the caller matched Beahm. The spokesman confirmed that a deputy was dispatched, but no medical assistance was sought. Police have yet to determine the reason behind the shooting, but deputies told ABC 10 News that the weapon used may have been a BB gun.

The shooting incident at Beahm's house happened less than one month after a mass shooting at the Madden NFL tournament in Jacksonville, Florida that killed two people and left numerous injuries.

Dr. Disrespect, Family Safe

Initially, Beahm did not issue an official statement regarding the incident. However, on his Twitter account, Beahm thanked everyone for their concerns and well-wishes.

"Thankfully no one was hurt. The situation is being handled appropriately. In the meantime, stream will resume tomorrow according to schedule," Beahm's tweet said, ending it with the hashtag #FirmHandshakes.

After his statement, Beahm immediately shut down his stream, but not before changing his subtitle to read "Doc and Family Are Safe. Proper Measures are be taken while stream is down for the day."

As one of the personalities who helped popularize battle royale games, Dr. Disrespect is often trolled by his viewers, who sometimes threw invectives at him. Sometimes, Beahm just shrugged off comments from his critics, but there were cases that he threatened to find harassers in real life.
