More and more details of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus have been trickling in since the early part of 2018. This time around, it's in the form of a video that features two alleged cases of the smartphone.

If the clip is anything to go by, then the design of the upcoming Samsung handset may have been revealed, from its dimensions to a potential headphone jack in the cards.

Leaked Protective Case

The video is courtesy of reliable leakster Ice Universe, who posted it on YouTube. It's two minutes and 39 seconds long and shows the cases purported to be for the Galaxy S10 Plus being put on other smartphones. That way, users can get a good idea of how the yet-to-be-unveiled handset will turn out to be in terms of size.

From the look of things, the cases are in line with rumors. For starters, they have a horizontal cutout on the back for the cameras. Reports say that the Galaxy S10 Plus will have four cameras on the back — and two on the front — that are lined up horizontally. This is in contrast with the vertical alignment of the Galaxy S9 Plus.

Takeaways

When the person in the clip inserted a Galaxy S9 Plus, which comes with a 6.2-inch display, into one of the cases, it fitted pretty well. That's despite the purported 6.4-inch display of the Galaxy S10 Plus, according to a report from SamMobile.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 9, which is equipped with a 6.4-inch display, doesn't fit at all. Next, the Oppo Find X fitted snugly into the case despite having a 6.4-inch screen as well. All in all, what this means is that Samsung could be retaining the 6.2-inch size, after all, or it could be cutting down the bezels of the Galaxy S10 Plus for more screen space.

Another interesting point is that the cases have a cutout on the bottom that could be for the headphone jack, which could put the worries of some fans to rest.

Needless to say, there's no Galaxy S10 Plus in the video. In other words, it's recommended to take this with a grain of salt until the smartphone itself is unveiled.

As for the unveiling date, reports say that it could be on Feb. 20. It's also said that the lineup will include not only an Edge variant but also a Lite version.
