NVIDIA announces the long-awaited GeForce RTX 2060 that only costs $349, which makes it the cheapest card in the RTX 20 series.

"Next-gen gaming starts today for tens of millions of gamers everywhere," said CEO Jensen Huang, the NVIDIA founder, at the start of the CES tradeshow.

Huang said that desktop gamers were demanding, and the company's answer is the RTX GeForce 2060. It sets the bar high with an unbeatable price, outstanding performance, and real-time ray tracing that blur the distinction between games and movies.

"This is a great moment for gamers and our industry," he added.

NVIDIA RTX 2060 GPU Specs

NVIDIA's new RTX 2060 GPU delivers exceptional performance on modern video games. With its Turing's RT Cores and Tensor Cores, PC gamers will be able to run Battlefield V with ray tracing at 60 frames per second.

This revolutionary Turing architecture GPU is 60 percent faster on current games compared to NVIDIA's most popular GPU GTX 1060. It also beats the gameplay of the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti.

The new GPU card offers 52 teraflops of Tensor Core processing power as well as 6-gigabyte GDRR6 memory. It can also handle 5 gigarays per second and comes equipped with features of hi-end gaming GPUs like the Pascal-based GTX 1070 Ti graphics card.

NVIDIA promises that GeForce RTX 2060 offers performance benefit somewhere between 1.4 and 2x over its 1060 counterpart, which makes it faster than the 1070 Ti card.

The RTX 2060 comes with GeForce Experience application that gives PC gamers access to in-game features such as NVIDIA Highlights, NVIDIA Ansel, and NVIDIA Freestyle.

Bundle With EA Games

Electronic Arts and DICE partners with NVIDIA. For a limited-time offer, gamers who are buying a qualifying GeForce RTX 2060 or a new desktop PC equipped with the RTX 2060 can opt to receive Anthem or Battlefield V. This bundle promotion is available in most regions around the world.

A future update for Battlefield V will incorporate DLSS support and additional optimizations for real-time ray tracing. With GeForce RTX 2060, pairing DLSS with ray tracing will allow gamers to get both amazing performance and ray-traced image quality.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 and the stock-clocked RTX 2060 Founders Edition board, which is also designed and built by NVIDIA, will simultaneously be available in the market beginning Jan. 15.
