Razzies Nominee Short-List Includes 'The Interview,' Kirk Cameron's 'Saving Christmas'

If Oscars go to all the films, actors and actresses that wowed audiences during the year, The Golden Raspberry Awards, a.k.a. the Razzies, are for the films that underwhelmed, underperformed or were just downright painful to experience.

It's time to get excited then, because the Razzies are officially underway! Voters for the awards recently received their nominee short-lists. From the short-list voting, members will vote for their "favorites" to narrow down each category, with voting ending Jan. 10. The final nominee list will be announced Jan. 14, a day before the Academy Award nominees are announced.

So what films are on the short list for some of the worst entertainment of 2014? Surprisingly, The Interview. Despite performing well given its limited theatrical release, critically the film hasn't been well received. The Interview is currently a nominee for Worst Picture, Worst On-Screen Combo (James Franco and Seth Rogen) and Worst Actor (James Franco and Seth Rogen).

Just because the film is on the shortlist doesn't mean it will be a final nominee. That will be for voters to decide, and all signs are pointing towards Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas as being the top contender for Worst Picture. The film has already been voted by IMDB users as the worst film of all time, so it only seems natural that the Christmas movie take top honors at The Golden Raspberry Awards.
