The release date of Android 10, formerly referred to as Android Q, is all but confirmed.

Two Canadian carriers posted software launch schedules on their support pages, and according to them, the latest version of Android is coming to Pixel phones on Sept. 3.

Android 10 Release Date

As spotted first by 9to5Google, Rogers said that "Q OS" was set to launch for the Pixel devices on Sept. 3, but at the time of writing, it has taken down the info from its support website. The news outlet points out that this carrier is reliable when it comes to software updates.

In addition, Telus also lent credence to the aforementioned rollout date, saying that "Android Q + security update" are scheduled to arrive to Pixel smartphones by then. It has now updated its support document as well, removing any mention of "Android Q" and leaving just "Security update."

Both of the Canadian carriers say that Android 10 is heading to the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 3a XL. In other words, every Pixel phone is getting it, even the OG Pixel devices that are already beyond the promised updates of two years, which comes as good news to early adopters of Google's handset.

These don't exactly set things in stone, but there's a chance that the release date for the latest Android version here is the real deal and that the two carriers simply jumped the gun on it.

Google Support Sings The Same Tune

Back in August, two Google Support agents more or less confirmed that Android 10 is making its way to all Pixel phones on Sept. 3. That, of course, aligns with what the support documents of Rogers and Telus indicate.

Put simply, the Canadian carriers aren't the only ones saying that the release date of Android 10 for Pixel devices is on that date.
