The free PlayStation Plus games for October 2019 have been revealed.

Sony made the announcement during its State of the Play presentation for September 2019, and the lineup this time around is composed of The Last of Us Remastered and MLB The Show 19.

Free PS Plus Games For October 2019

Back in 2014, Naughty Dog launched a remaster of PlayStation 3's The Last of Us for the PlayStation 4. Not only does The Last of Us Remastered come with an improved version of the original core game, but it also comes with The Last of Us: Left Behind, which centers on Ellie and her best friend Riley.

During this month's State of Play, Sony also announced that The Last of Us Part II will be released on Feb. 21, 2020. That said, The Last of Us Remastered being part of the free PS Plus games for October is the perfect opportunity to re-experience Joel and Ellie's adventure before the next title in the franchise arrives.

This also marks the first time that an entry from The Show series is included as a free game in PS Plus. As part of the celebration, Sony is also throwing in some free in-game content in the form of five free packs, which includes a Diamond player. Only those who log into the game between Oct. 1 and 31 are eligible to claim this offer.

The Last of Us Remastered and MLB The Show 2019 will be available at the PlayStation Store starting Oct. 1 until Nov. 4.

Free PS Plus Games For September 2019

September still has a few days left, and that means there's still time to nab Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders 3, both of which are part of the free PS Plus games for September. These will be up for grabs only until Sept. 30, so for PS4 fans who still haven't gotten them better act fast.
