Sony announced the free games it has in store for PlayStation Plus subscribers in September.

The first one is Batman: Arkham Knight from Rocksteady Studios, and the other one is Darksiders 3 from Gunfire Games.

Free PS Plus Games September 2019

Batman: Arkham Knight rolled out back in June 2015, and it's the sequel that takes place one year after the goings-on in Batman: Arkham City.

In the game, the Caped Crusader has his hands full with a slew of villains, such as Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, and Penguin. That's despite the Joker being out of the picture, since he was killed off in Batman: Arkham City.

Meanwhile, Darksiders 3 is a hack-and-slash action-adventure game that stars Fury as the protagonist. She's the sister of War and Death, all three of which are among the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Her goal is to find the Seven Deadly Sins and destroy them.

As announced in Sony's blog post, both Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders 3 for the PlayStation 4 will be available to PS Plus subscribers starting on Sept. 3 until Sept. 30.

Free PS Plus Games August 2019

A couple of days are still left in August, meaning gamers will have to wait for a bit longer until they can get their hands on Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders 3. That also means that there's still time for them to nab the freebies launched for the month.

To recap, Wipeout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4 were Sony's free PS Plus games for August. Released back in 2018, the former consists of remastered versions of Wipeout HD (including the Wipeout HD Fury expansion) and Wipeout 2048. On the other hand, the latter is a tactical third-person shooter set in World War II.

PS Plus members who haven't downloaded these two titles still have until Sept. 2 to do so.
