(Photo : Sling) Android smartphone, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Amazon Fire tablet, and Roku owners can now access free shows and movies via the Sling TV app.

Sling TV is giving Android users more reasons to use its services: free shows and movies.

With the company's "free experience" offer, just about anyone can start watching free content, even if they don't sign up for an account or enter credit card info.

Sling TV's Free Shows And Movies

In a news release, Sling TV announced that Android smartphone, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Amazon Fire tablet owners can watch a couple of free shows and movies starting on Oct. 14.

The list of free TV episodes includes Live PD: Police Patrol, Hell's Kitchen, and 3rd Rock from the Sun. Meanwhile, the free movies include The Illusionist and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans.

Sure, the selection isn't exactly extensive, but as mentioned earlier, anyone with a compatible device can just jump in and start enjoying these shows and movies without an account or credit card at all.

This comes hot on the heels of the new free experience on Roku, which is more or less the same. The timing is convenient as well, since Netflix just announced that it's ending support for certain Roku models.

Speaking of great timing, Sling TV is also giving users a free preview of the fourth Democratic Presidential debate on CNN to boot.

How To Watch Free Shows, Movies On Sling TV

To get started, all users have to do is download the Sling TV app on any supported device, be it an Android, Roku, or Amazon device. That said, the app is available for Android and Android TV users on the Google Play Store and for Amazon Fire TV and Amazon Fire tablet users on the Amazon Appstore.

Once everything's all set up, users just have to go through the on-screen instructions and get to guest mode. The free content will be accessible from the "My TV" screen.

On a related note, Hulu began dropping support for Android TV set-top boxes, including Sling TV's own AirTV Player.
