The Mandalorian has only launched earlier this month, but it is getting more hype and has already dethroned some of the most beloved TV shows this decade, so where can you watch it, and when are the next episodes coming in?

The Mandalorian on Disney+

The Mandalorian is a Disney+ exclusive, set in the universe of the well-beloved Star Wars franchise, following the story of a lone gunslinger, who made it his duty to protect the adorable Baby Yoda.

The Mandalorian launched with the Disney+ on November 12.

It came along with the launch of Disney's very own video streaming service, and one of the only original fictional series in the platform, along with the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

Each of The Mandalorian episodes is short, ranging from 29 minutes to 38 minutes long, but Disney has decided to drop the episodes weekly, unlike with Netflix and other streaming services that often drops the whole season in one day.

Disney+ on Weekly Episodes

However, analysts believe this is a smart move by Disney, as noted by CNBC.

"It's like the good old days of having to wait for content and have that anticipation last a week and not five seconds," said Paul Dergarabedian, the senior media analyst of Comscore.

With that experience, Disney+ is raking up more subscribers—something they need to catch up on, especially since competitors like Amazon Prime Video and Netflix have been in the industry long enough to get a significant advantage against newer services.

And it seems like the strategy is working, as according to Forbes, The Mandalorian has already topped competitions like Stranger Things, Westworld, and Doctor Who, some of the most beloved series of the past few years.

The Mandalorian Dethrones Stranger Things

Apparently, The Mandalorian is 69.8% ahead of Netflix's Stranger Things on the 7th day of the Season 2 premiere; and 72.3% ahead of BBC's Doctor Who on the 7th day after the Season 11 premiere.

This is a great feat, especially since Stranger Things has been on the top spot of the Parrot Analytics' weekly list for 21 straight weeks as the most in-demand streaming show in the US.

According to Business Insider, Stranger Things 81 million demand expressions, while The Mandalorian had over 100 million from Nov. 17 to 23.

It could be due to the already overwhelming number of Star Wars fans, or perhaps it's due to the adorable Baby Yoda that has won the internet ever since the first episode of The Mandalorian aired.

Is Disney+ Worth Having?

With The Mandalorian, Disney+ is putting itself right on the top of the list, alongside already established video sharing services.

But can it survive without the new show?

According to Screen Rant, the service is filled to the rim with everything Disney has to offer, from years of animated cartoons to the Star Wars franchise, 20th Century Fox titles, and the well-loved Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Even without The Mandalorian, every die-hard Disney fan will love this new streaming service.

The Mandalorian releases its episodes weekly, with the next episode coming this Friday, Nov. 29, at 12:01 A.M. PST/3:01 A.M. EST.
