Since its the month of Consumer Electronics Show or CES 2020, a lot of surprising gadgets and devices are set to be in the market soon within the year.

One of Dell's subsidiary companies, Alienware, had recently introduced their prototype gaming console named 'Concept UFO.' This device is a portable gaming device that has detachable controllers for handheld purposes, can be switched to tabletop mode, or can be connected to a television device.

We know what you're thinking, but nope-- its not a new Nintendo Switch device but they do have a lot of similarities with its function.

However, though a lot of reports told people that they were very alike with each other, there are also things that are different from them, and here are some.

Having the same detachable controllers and different ways to plug it into other devices is what Nintendo Switch is all about.

So when Alienware released their new gaming console in CES Las Vegas this week-- having the same features with Switch, a lot of critics claimed that Alienware seemed to be copying one of the fastest-selling gaming devices of this generation.

As of now, 44 million Nintendo Switch consoles were already sold all over the world. So for a company to release the same prototype with Switch's-- people will tend to frown upon on the idea.

On the other hand, if you think about its features, there are huge differences between the two.

Powered by Windows 10 Operating System

For hardcore PC gamers out there, you would definitely love to check out Concept UFO.

This device is powered by Windows 10 operating system that was said to be one of Dell's main highlights of the gaming console as, according to their research, a lot of PC gamers demand a handheld gaming device with Windows 10.

This is one of their main differences with Nintendo Switch since Nintendo is not allowing Windows 10 to their devices.

Bigger Screen Compared to Switch

If you think about a negative thing with Concept UFO that Nintendo Switch pulled off, it is the console's lesser screen size and weight compared to Alienware's.

For Nintendo Switch, the screen size is only 6.2 inches. However, for Concept UFO the screen size is a bit larger that has 10 inches.

With this, some reviews said that they do not enjoy playing Concept UFO since it has a bigger screen and heavier weight, which tends to be a negative thing if you focus on handheld gaming.

Concept UFO is more like Razer Edge Pro PC Tablet

Though the device has more defined similarities with Nintendo Switch, Kotaku recently reported that Alienware seemed to be unaware that they're copying a distinct design of Switch, but maybe it is more like Razer's Edge Pro PC tablet-- the PC gamers device for on-the-go gaming.

Still, Alienware clarified that they are not yet selling or started the production for the said device as this is only a prototype design. However, we're still excited to see whether this device can compete with Switch.
