If you've been excited about Samsung's new Galaxy Buds+ and you are contemplating to buy a pair, think again. You might just be disappointed because these new accessories' multi-point Bluetooth connection happens to be working only with other Samsung gadgets. But if you are an avid Samsung user, this should never be a problem for you. Indeed, these new wireless earbuds appear to be the tech leader's best yet, with tight integration of Spotify and satisfying battery life and enhanced sound-all for a price any music enthusiast can surely afford.

As earlier mentioned, if you are a heavy Samsung user, you will definitely find the specs of this new Galaxy Buds+ quite impressive. However, some flaws are unavoidable. Just a week ago, a few Samsu's attention was called due to some details that have turned questionable for tech savvies, observers, and reviewers. Specifically, the wireless headsets' multi-point Bluetooth connection feature is unavailable in the product description.

What the Aspiring Galaxy Buds+ Users Need to Know

In response to the issue, Samsung released an official statement saying that the said feature has not disappeared. It is very much present, but only if paired with a Galaxy phone or tablet. Specifically, the company's spokesperson said, Galaxy Buds+ provides the users a convenient way to shift across devices logged into similar Samsung account that has "the SmartThings app installed." Meanwhile, this feature is accessible in the phone or tablet's media panel by choosing the Galaxy Buds+ app.

Another important thing you need to know as an aspiring Galaxy Buds+ owner is that the said feature is available only on Samsung mobile devices that run on Android 7.1.1 or the much later. Meaning, this new Samsung product can only perform a multiple-device shift between two Samsung gadgets that run on the said Android version and newer. More so, the SmartThings app needs to be installed on both devices where the switching is performed.

The Fun in Switching Devices

If you are serious about owning the Galaxy Buds+, you should know how the SmartThings app works. Essentially, it enables "the user to tap within the media panel" on every device to move the cordless headsets' connection in-between devices. Indeed, this is so possible with a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and a Samsung Galaxy Note 10. If you are not yet a Samsung phone owner, the process is still the same. The only difference is that you turn the Bluetooth off, of the presently connected devices and reconnect it to the second mobile device.

Just the same, if you own less than two Samsung Galaxy gadgets, you can still partner the Buds+ with more than one mobile phone or tablet. However, the earbuds will only connect to one of the gadgets at a time. So, if you desire to switch devices, you have to go to the Bluetooth menu of your chosen device and soft-touch 'connect.' While switching between the Samsung Galaxy devices via the multi-point connection is immediate since both devices stay connected at the same time, this process requires waiting for the Buds+ to disconnect and reconnect between mobile devices.
