"Certain games are available for pre-purchase on Nintendo eShop before their release date. When you pre-purchase a game, a non-playable version of the game will be pre-loaded to your system at the time of your order. You'll be able to start playing it after downloading a small update, beginning at 12:00 a.m. EST on the game's release date. (Please note that some third-party titles are not available until 12:00 p.m. PST on the game's release date.) "

So assuming that this statement is accurate, Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX will be available on Friday, Mar. 6, at 12 a.m. EST. Just in case, try to download and play the game an hour early, because some users said they could play as soon as 11 p.m. EST.

You can, however, play the demo of the game, which is available for download, and you should give it a go if ever you think you should buy the full game or not. So no worries, Nintendo thought about that already.
