The game industry is pushing back titles and events, saying, "now is not the time" because of the uproar of George Floyd's unfortunate passing.

The next Call of Duty Seasons delayed indefinitely
For new content of the Call of Duty franchise, namely, Modern Warfare, Warzone, and Call of Duty: Mobile have been postponed due to the current violence and police actions against American citizens. A short statement was posted on Twitter by Activision had this to say:

"While we all look forward to playing the new seasons of Modern Warfare, Warzone and Call of Duty: Mobile, now is not the time. We are moving the launches of Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 to later dates. Right now, it's time for those speaking up for equality, justice, and change to be seen and heard. We stand alongside you." At the time of this writing, there is no news about when Activision will resume new season content for all their games and give people time to shout for equality to be heard. We only have to wait and see when the next update for the three games to be announced, eventually.
EA Sports delays Madden NFL 21 event in light of the recent protests
Video game publisher EA Sports decided to delay the celebration event that was supposed to reveal Madden NFL 21 because of the protests happening in the United States and the entire world over Floyd's death in Minneapolis.

EA Sports had been playing to give fans the first look in the latest installment of the franchise, but considered not to and postponed it indefinitely. On Twitter again, Madden NFL 20 tweeted, "We stand with our African American/Black Community of friends, players, colleagues, and partners. Our immediate attention is on actions we can take to drive change against the unjust treatment and systemic bias that is plaguing the nation and our world."

The Madden franchise is the official video game of the NFL, which has sold over 130 million copies on the global market. Back in 2018, EA Sports apologized over Colin Kaepernick, an NFL player. He protested police brutality by kneeling during the national anthem and has since been removed by the National Football League teams.
PS5 event delays its date for a good reason
Sony decided to delay the PlayStation 5 stream indefinitely. The event was set supposedly on June 4, but for now, we won't be getting any news regarding the PS5 due to the civil unrest because of Floyd's passing.

PlayStation tweeted, "While we understand gamers worldwide are excited to see PS5 games, we do not feel that right now is a time for celebration, and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard."
Recent footage of Floyd repeatedly telling officer Derek Chauvin, who knelt on his neck for several minutes that he couldn't breathe, has renewed the focus on the Black Lives Matter movement. This is all centered on the police killing of African Americans.
