It's no wonder Animal Crossing: New Horizons is extremely popular today, in the time of lockdowns and quarantines. It's a game that allows you to be socially active with your online friends--something you can't do now in person. Plus, there are many different things to do.

Animal Crossing Art Museum

Among the ultimate goals of the game is to complete your Art Museum, which you can do by visiting Redd and buying some art pieces from him whenever he appears.

But the thing is, Redd is not available every day, making it hard to complete your Animal Crossing art museum as you can't exactly buy from the character whenever you have Bells to exchange for it.

In addition, Redd has multiple fake art pieces that you might get if you're not careful enough. And since they are fake, they won't be accepted into the museum or even exchange them for some Bells.

That's where a handy cheat comes in.

The Time Travel Cheat

According to IGN, the cheat is a Time Travel Cheat, which players can use to speed up the process of completing some tasks, such as completing your museum.

Time traveling is actually quite easy: you just have to change your system clock, and the day would then change in-game as well.

Here's how to do the cheat and complete your Art Museum ASAP, courtesy of an ACNH fan from Twitter named Doug Chin.

1. Firstly, make sure Redd is on the island. If he is not, you can time travel one day at a time to check whether he is available.
2. Once he appears, shop and make sure you get a real art piece instead of a fake one to complete your art museum faster and to avoid getting a haunted painting or statue. But if he's selling all fake pieces and you don't see anything that might be haunted, don't worry. You don't exactly need to buy something for the cheat to work.
3. Save your game, exit, and then close the software entirely.
4. Head to your console's System settings and then change the time and date. Make sure that the Synchronize Clock via the Internet is off. Also, make sure that you jump one day ahead only.
5. Start your Animal Crossing: New Horizons copy once more. It would be a new day, and Redd would be gone. You can use this time to check your mail for the art pieces and donate the ones you got to the museum.
6. If you're ready, save, exit, and completely turn off the game. Go to the Systems settings once again and return back to the day where Redd is summoned. Check his shop, and he'll have new pieces on his inventory.
7. Repeat the process again and again until your art museum is complete.

You can choose not to follow the cheat if you want, or you can do it if you're going to complete your art museum so you can focus on other things.

So far, there's no word if Nintendo knows the cheat exists or if they are doing anything to remove it or punish anyone who is exploiting it.
