A man's Twitter thread from 2016 about time-traveling went viral as the man stated some accurate predictions about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Newsweek's latest report, the man who claimed to be a time traveler from 2020, created a twitter thread in 2016, and it's gaining attention after the statements given predicted some of the terrible scenarios that are currently happening in this year.

Drew Curtis, author, CEO, and founder of Fark.com, told people that they should enjoy the year 2016 because the following years looked dreary. He jokingly claimed that he is a time traveler from the year 2020 and has come here to warn the world about the impending doom. The twitter thread was brought back to the public by Curtis on May 1 saying that it is still valid for this year.

"Admission: I'm a time traveler from 2020. Enjoy 2016 - it's as good as it gets for a while," he captioned his original tweet from 2016. He re-tweeted the post saying that the thread has aged well.

According to Newsweek, the man behind the viral Twitter Thread, Drew Curtis, has also did a Ted Talk, claiming that he has predicted a lot of things other than the pandemic.

Many Twitter users asked questions about the pandemic when the Twitter thread resurfaced in May. A random user asked Curtis when will things get back to normal and he answered that it will be in November. Although different states are working in phases toward reopening this coming fall and summer and stay-at-home orders are already being lifted, Curtis said that things will have to return to normal while conducting safe measures.

He predicted that the second growth in cases will be seen within the year 2020, which will force many states to have the second lockdown. "States will open up to soon and have to close down again," he answered in response to an individual who wants things to be normal by July.

Curtis also clarified that around August or September, there will be a second lockdown. The Twitter thread started as a joke, but as it somehow connects with the current events, people are now taking the prediction seriously and asking Curtis a lot of questions.

The pandemic isn't the only focus of the Twitter thread as Curtis claimed that he has the answers about November's US presidential election. He predicted that President Donald Trump will not win the election and there will be some drama surrounding the reason.

"The real rough part is post-election when he blames election fraud," he tweeted.

Despite the negative statements that Curtis gave the public, he also revealed that the coronavirus pandemic will not be the end of humanity, and the year 2021 will be a good one.
