If you're a fan of sci-fi films, here's great news from Elon Musk's SpaceX and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Both space agencies would be teaming up to create the very first Hollywood film that will be made at the actual outer space. Not only that, but Tom Cruise is expected to be the main cast of the film, reportedly titled Luna Park

Tom Cruise partners with Elon Musk to create the first outer space-made film!

Tom Cruise, famous for Mission Impossible film series, is now taking another space film aside from his 2013 sci-fi/action films Oblivion and Edge of Tomorrow.

This time, the actor will be teaming up with the actual space officials from the country's space agency NASA and Elon Musk-owned SpaceX.

Tech Times reported in earlier May that NASA already announced the upcoming film with Cruise and said to be made in order to "inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to make @NASA's ambitious plans a reality."

According to Newsweek, Cruise has already accepted the role with his action director from Edge of Tomorrow and The Bourne Identity Director Doug Liman. Both of them would be part of the film that was said to be called Luna Park.

The film title came up when Liman's IMDB records show that the director will make an upcoming sci-fi film soon. Though Cruise, Liman, or anyone involved in the production hasn't yet released any announcements regarding the film, the plot seemed to focus to "a group of renegade space workers' venture to the moon to steal an energy source," according to Liman's IMDB.

Tom Cruise and Liman planned this to happen

According to Deadline, Cruise and Liman have been writing a screenplay about the sci-fi film, and the two asked the space firms to allow them to shoot in the actual spacecraft.

Surprisingly, NASA and SpaceX dive in to join the production.

For now, though, Cruise and Liman have different production areas to focus on. Liman is now on post-production in the Lionsgate/BRON film Chaos Walking starring Tom Holland. While Cruise had postponed the showing of Top Gun: Maverick to Dec. 23, instead of summer 2020. He is also set to be back to work in a new Mission Impossible 7, but he was also delayed due to the pandemic.
