Xbox's 'Sea of Thieves' latest update, 'Haunted Shores,' will have ghostships. According to Gamespot's latest report, Xbox announced the game's update with developer Rare detailing the gameplay updates, including the new fleet of spooky enemies.

Rising up from the depths of the sea, Xbox players will now have to face ghost ships which will be the foes in the game. These new enemies will be a tough one since their high-powered fleets can outnumber the living pirates--although they have fewer health bars compared to other types of ships. Ghost ships will remain in the game beyond this month's event.

The center of 'Sea of Thieves' new event, Captain Flameheart, will command the new enemy ghost ships. Similar to the war clouds appearing over Skeleton ship battles or Skeleton forts, Captain Flameheart's skill will also appear over the islands that will serve as a sign that a fleet of Ghostships and his ship, the Burning Blade, will be sailing around an island.

According to Xbox Wire's report, the latest update of 'Sea of Thieves' is available for free to all the players who purchased the game via Windows 10 PC, Steam, or Xbox One, or the users who were given an Xbox Game Pass.

There are also other updates that the players can definitely enjoy. Pirates at rank 25 and above who are seeking to sink the Ghost Ships will be given permanent new Voyages. If the players defeat the Ghostships, the captains will leave their ethereal armaments adrift in the water. The dropped rewards will be circled by Phantoms containing Wrait Cannonballs and Cannonball Crate of the Damned stocked with Phantom.

Player's progress in vanquishing Ghostships can now be charted with the New Commendations that have been added to the Order of Souls. Ghost Captian sails and the dreaded Burning Blade Sails can be earned by progressing through the New Commendations.

The achievements will remain in the game, such as the Scourge of the Damned [30G] and Banisher of the Spectral Flame [10G], where players can earn a total of 40 game scores from the update.

Xbox also updated Harpoon Retraction, which now allows players to fire again and more easily hit targets with the new rapid retraction. They also updared other gameplays such as improved non-verbal communication, choosing a Shanty, non-verbal Radial Keybinds, Barrel Inventory mouse navigation, and Cannonball Radial.
