The NBA 2k franchise is one of the biggest game franchises of all time, featuring professional basketball players from the league, so it's no wonder fans are excited for NBA 2k21, and this time, there is an NBA 2k21 Mamba Forever Edition.
Replacing the Legends Edition
According to Forbes, the NBA 2k21 Mamba Forever Edition would replace the Legends Edition in the past. As the name suggests, features the late Kobe Bryant--he passed away in a horrific helicopter accident earlier this year.
There are two versions of the Mamba Forever Edition: one for the current gaming consoles, PS4 and Xbox One, and another for the next-gen consoles, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X.
The two versions show a different artistic representation of Bryant, who was also called The Black Mamba.
Standard Editions Feature NBA Stars
Besides the NBA 2k21 Mamba Forever Edition, there are two Standard Editions for the current-gen consoles and the next-gen ones, which features two more NBA stars, namely Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers and Zion Williamson, a rookie from New Orleans Pelicans.
According to ESPN, Lillard is the cover star for the current-gen NBA 2k21 Standard Edition for PS 4 and Xbox One, while Williamson is for the Standard Edition for PS5 and the Xbox Series X.
This was not the first time Bryant was featured on a cover of an NBA 2k game as he was also on the cover for the NBA 2k17 Legend Edition. Still, the Mamba Forever Edition is a special one as it celebrates and honors his legacy in the world of basketball.
For those who want to secure their copies of the NBA 2k21 Mamba Forever Edition, the PlayStation Store has already listed the game for pre-order, and it is available for $99.99 on September 4.

According to the listing, those who pre-order NBA 2k21 Mamba Forever Edition will get a bonus Damian Lillard digital content for PS4 along with a Zion Williamson digital content for PS5.
Of course, several items come with the Mamba Forever Edition, including the following:
