There is an ongoing issue, which caused by the problems of Facebook's developer tools--some apps are also dealing with the same issues.

"Something's out of tune. We're currently investigating, and we'll keep you posted here!" said Spotify's Status account.

Other apps such as Hinge, Twitter, Strava, Snapchat, as well as The New Times app, were also affected by the current issue. The companies warned the users that uninstalling and reinstalling won't fix the problem. Facebook confirmed that the issue on its status page was intended for developers.

"We are aware and investigating an increase in errors on the iOS SDK, which is causing some apps to crash," said a member of the Facebook team.

Other popular apps, including Facebook itself, Tinder, TikTok, Grab, Viber, and Paymaya, were all reported having the same issue. Pre-loaded iOS apps such as Apple Music and the App Store are also affected. However, Safari wasn't having the issue; other music streaming service also works on different platforms, including the Android version of the app. The issue appeared to be a widespread outage since a huge surge in the number of people was having the same problems. Western Europe particularly experiences the widespread outage since it is where most people were trying to use Spotify. The issue started the same day as Juice Wrld's new posthumous album release.

Here's a workaround to fix the issue

Spotify confirmed that it is already fixing the issue, but you can still get hold of music on your iPhone by using Spotify's web interface, which is commonly used on computers where the app can't be downloaded. The web offers a version of Spotify's service, without needing to install the app.

This app's version can be accessed at open.spotify.com, which can be found everywhere, including on your iPhone device. However, there is one little problem; logging in the phone will automatically open the Spotify app. This might cause another crash if you open it in the Spotify web interface.

To fix this issue, the user must cancel that option and then navigate to the web interface. However, it has a variety of limitations--the process functions in a largely similar way to the app version of Spotify. However, the interface might be a little more glitchy compared to the native iOS app. Switching their phone into Airplane mode before opening Spotify again might work, according to the suggestions of other users. But, that function will only allow you to play the music that has been downloaded to be played locally.
