Google Fi subscribers are left confused as they receive their monthly bill shows $0 incurred charges and zero data usage. While they welcome not being charged for September, users are worried that they might end up paying double next month.

Google's Flexible costs about $30 to $80 plan per month for while the Unlimited plan is $70 per month, before taxes and fees. The flexible plan only bills the actual usage, $20 for the base charge plus $10 for each gigabyte of data. However, the data will be free after 6 GB or maximum of $80.

Thus, seeing a zero bill leaves the users confused of what they really have to pay. 

Members of r/GoogleFi subreddit shared their frustrations regarding their monthly statement

u/littleclam10 posted on r/GoogleFi subreddit that he usually gets a bill amounting to around $180, so he was confused seeing the that shows $0 charges because their usage for last month was 0 GB. However, the Redditor claims they usually consume around 15GB per month. "I'll totally take a free month, but I don't want to end up getting double charged next month," he said.

After the post was published, other members of the subreddit commented and shared their own zero bill experiences. Just like the others, u/broken_bird said: "Just got a $0 bill too. I'm sure it's a glitch!"

u/Lilybell2 also commented: "It's an error. They're in the process of fixing it." Also, u/jocoaction shared that he was "just finished talking to a Support rep," who told him that "they were working to fix it."

u/Zeroagatha said that she has actually seen the correct charges and usage while the bill was still being finalized, but it later showed zero.

Meanwhile, u/seg_fault_trace noted that ig Google Fi will be giving a freebie, the company will notify the subscribers, probably "put some notice in the app."

According to 9to5Google, the Google Fi app for Android and iOS confirmed the $0 amount as well as the error since the "last month's data" usage also shows "0 GB." Meanwhile,

Customers are confused because they do not have credits on their account that would cover their usage while Google has no ongoing promotions to explain the free bill.

As numerous users have already reported the glitch to customer support, the company is expected to prepare another bill to show the correct charges and data usage.

Google Fi: what is unique about it?

Google highlights the features it Fi's technology, which works on three major networks: Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and T-Mobile as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot network. It allows access to more cell towers and wider 4G LTE coverage with no setup required.

While there are phones that cannot access Fi, they can still be covered by T-Mobile. Also, users can also use 5G on Fi, provided that they are compatible with the T-Mobile's 5G network.

More than 200 countries are covered by the Google Fi network, so users can automatically get data coverage while overseas without the expensive roaming charge.

Meanwhile, Google Fi no longer support 2G and 3G for phones that are activated after August 4.
