Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is heading in PlayStation 4 for free this week! Starting on Friday, Sept. 18, 1:00 PM until Sunday, Sept. 20, 1:00 PM, the new addition to the COD franchise will be coming out for the weekend. Make sure to note these schedules on your calendar before it's too late.

Have a free Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War at the weekend!

The next Activision Call of Duty game has its 'Open Alpha' mode for PS4 in the coming weekend.

According to the recent announcement from the PlayStation blog, the game will be having its fun test drive to all who wanted to try the latest game.

Be alert that almost everyone in the gaming world would love to try this new game franchise, so make sure to mark those calendars.

"PlayStation 4 owners can also get a taste of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer through an exclusive Alpha weekend, complete with multiple modes, maps, and a preview of the Create-a-Class and Scorestreak systems," said on the press release. 

If you want, you could also have the option to preload the Black Ops content as early as Thursday, Sept. 17, starting at 11:00 AM.

Just go to the PlayStation store link, search the 'black ops cold war', and you'll definitely see the game right away.

What do you need to play the game?

As you save the dates on your calendar, remember that the game requires a certain amount of memory storage in order to operate. 

Express UK said that the game requires 25GB to install the new COD Cold War Alpha.

So, is the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Open Alpha worthy of your time on the weekend?

Honestly, we don't know yet which details will be the Open Alpha is having. Aside from the earlier mentioned, "multiple modes, maps, and a preview of the Create-a-Class and Scorestreak systems," the game is expected to show Activision's new competitive multiplayer suite. 

Sorry, Xbox!

Unfortunately, if you are playing the Xbox console, the game will not be free or accessible in your turn. 

This PS4 announcement may be thought as an answer of PlayStation to the newly-released next-gen console of Xbox. 

As reported, Microsoft is ready to release its new console of Xbox Series S on November 10th for $299, while Xbox Series X costs $200 less with $499 standard price.
