A particular top official over at the United Arab Emirates just recently revealed that his very own country plans to be able to send an unmanned spacecraft over to the moon by the year 2024. The announcement was given by the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is currently also the ruler of Dubai.

The announcement also came after the previous Mars probe which was launched earlier this year by the UAE as well, a known oil-rich nation located in the Arabian Peninsula. According to the Sheikh Mohammed on his Twitter post, it will later on be an Emirati-made lunar rover that will eventually land on the moon's very own surface in 2024 to be able to discover and explore certain places that have not yet been done by human missions.

The previous UAE probe

Back in July, the UAE's own Amal or "Hope" probe was finally launched from Japan after a while and it currently remains still on its way to Mars.
