A popular Asian "uncle" Nigel Ng that goes by the name Uncle Roger has been going viral for reacting to certain videos of people cooking egg fried rice. The comedic Uncle Roger shows the stereotypical Asian reaction to egg fried rice being cooked wrongly. Uncle Roger shot to fame after making a reaction video of BBC's Hersha Patel cooking egg fried rice.
According to Uncle Roger's reaction video, there were so many things that Hersha Patel did wrong when cooking the egg fried rice like rinsing the rice after cooking giving it a strange texture and taste. Uncle Roger's comments and reactions explained that it was a very un-Asian way of cooking egg fried rice which is a very popular dish in Asia.
Uncle Roger's Asian uncle makeover
The Uncle Roger character by Nigel Ng shows a very typical Asian uncle appeal which in one of his videos was attempted to be altered by Ling.KT a makeup artist and content creator in his most recent video. The video was about Uncle Roger getting a makeover which is something that a lot of people were excited to see.
Uncle Roger is widely known for his popular orange polo and typical tuck in, phone case on the belt, tuck in, and the typical pants. What Ling KT attempted to do is to upgrade Uncle Roger's looks by making him change his typical polo for a Lacoste polo of the same color but a bit richer. Paired with the Lacoste logo was a pair of ripped skinny jeans which while some argued that it was adorable, others argued that it did not fit the outfit at all.
The next outfit that uncle roger put on was a black sweatshirt along with a couple of blings around his neck. This was then paired with plaid orange-looking pants which still retained his original theme but made it look much more different. This outfit was also paired with a pair of orange shades.
The last outfit that Uncle Roger put on was an orange coat along with orange pants and a Gucci shirt. In a comedic manner, Uncle Roger left out the inner shirt to his coat making niece Ling KT leave the room. He was then told by the cameraman that he needed to wear a shirt inside. This was also paired with the earlier orange shades.

Uncle Roger's popularity grew even more
Uncle Roger has gotten even more popular for actually commenting on one of the most popular world chefs Jamie Oliver's version of egg fried rice especially for using Chili jam in an Asian dish. There were so many things that Uncle Roger said about Jamie Oliver's version of the egg fried rice that was terribly done according to him.
The only chef that Uncle Roger did a reaction to and actually appreciated was Gordon Ramsey's egg fried rice calling it authentic and a proper way to cook egg fried rice. The only comment he had was Gordon Ramsey sweats a lot.
