Google's Mobile Services (GMS) are unavailable on Huawei and Honor smartphones that launched last 2019 up to the present year, but an unofficial installer may help regain those back. The Google ban on both smartphone lines shut down Huawei's Android users with no source of applications to download from as Google's Play Store was one of the removed apps under the dispute between both companies.

XDA Developers: Googlefier for Huawei and Honor Amid Ban

According to XDA Developers' website, a senior member named bender_007, recently finished the development of the Googlefier and is now available for use among "stranded" Huawei and Honor members without the said Google apps. Googlefier aims to address the lack of Google application on one's phone, one of the massively used services this 2020.

The application was previously known as the AutoRec intended for LG smartphones that also lack Google's preinstalled applications on its native or factory release. The application's past also wants to recover the Android KitKat's lost files lost within the smartphone's file directories, giving users a hard time locating.

XDA's Googlefier is a practical application for Huawei and Honor users who suffered a ban from Google and Chinese phone companies' disputes. Last year saw the ban for Google's services, leading the Chinese technology company, Huawei, to suffer the most. Notably, it was during Huawei's peak popularity when the Google ban happened.

The new application, Googlefier, is a helpful tool to give Huawei and Honor smartphone users the chance to use Google's Mobile Services removed during May 2019's ruthless ban. According to the application's developer, Googlefier is relatively easy to use and will guarantee the lost GMS applications' return once part of Huawei and Honor.

Googlefier does not need to be connected to a personal computer to work or activate. The application only needs to be downloaded from an internet browser on one's phone through the APK file. The Android Package (APK) was intended to give a direct download function, which proves to be effective even with the Googlefier.

APKs are mostly plug-and-play in nature, much like a hard disk drive, featuring simple installation methods that can be done under minutes, depending on the file size. It is essential to grant Googlefier all the recommended and required permissions to get the application to work.

Where to Download and How to Install Googlefier?

Googlefier's APK can be downloaded from XDA Developer's website, complete with the instructions on how to get it to work. The application's developers claim to have used the APK on Huawei P40 Pro and Huawei MatePad Pro running on EMUI 10, the new native operating system of the Chinese smartphone company.

The APK application will replace the existing LZPlay app on Huawei's interface and systems. This application was the former installer of Google's Mobile Services on Huawei and Honor smartphones, particularly during the cold-hearted removal of the Chinese smartphone companies' using Google.
