With the upcoming Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 coming out, fans of these two console divisions are expecting another all out war against the two consoles regarding which of them will become the crowd favorite. Although the Microsoft Xbox Series X did not appear to have major problems in the news unlike the Sony PlayStation 5 in an article reported by Bloomberg, the big reveal changed everything.

PlayStation 5 VS Xbox Series X

When Sony first unveiled its PlayStation 5, fans were instantly attracted to just how drastic a change the company is willing to go for the next-generation console. The Xbox Series X, on the other hand, still contained the familiar aesthetic but with a different shape. The Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 have since then have been battling over dominance.

While there is no tally as of the moment as orders have not yet even been fulfilled with the massive demand for both the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5, fans can simply wait until the actual statistics show up. One thing that really made the PlayStation stand out is its change of color, shape, and even controller. Instead of looking like an upgrade of the PlayStation 4, the PS5 looks like a totally new type of console.

Is the PlayStation 5 better than the Xbox Series X?

A certain YouTuber and influencer known as Steven Boogie2988 Williams @Boogie2988 has recently shared his thoughts with regards to the new Xbox Series X. It was said that the YouTuber bought both of the consoles in order for them to be compared and with regards to the Xbox Series X, it just did not feel like a next-generation console.

According to the explanation by the YouTuber, there are a lot of things that the Xbox Series X has just upgraded from the previous version and although this is a good thing, this isn't really what pops into mind when people think of "next gen". The PlayStation 5, however, with its almost complete change to another type of console even sporting a bigger size and a new controller, is the epitome of a next-generation console. Of course, this is not yet comparing the specs.

How to know if the PS5 or Xbox Series X is better?

When it comes to the specs, both of these consoles are an upgrade of the previous version but when it comes to improvement in the gameplay, some people could argue that the new controllers by the PlayStation 5 should offer players another layer of gaming goodness. With a simple switch in controllers, players will be able to feel first-hand that the new PlayStation 5 has indeed changed for the better.

There have been a lot of comparisons being made like the one that PCMag recently released. At the end of the day, however, it really depends on what games are players most likely to play, their take on the new controller, and what they are more used to play in order to determine which is the better console.
