Nintendo is releasing a global update for "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" for the Switch platform, featuring new content that brings together the Christmas and Thanksgiving holiday festivity themes. Reindeers, Snow, and Pine Trees with Christmas decorations will soon pop-up for the update.

'Animal Crossing: New Horizons': Patch 1.6.0 Welcomes the Christmas Holiday


The Japanese multinational entertainment company is setting the Winter Update, also known as Patch 1.6.0, for November 19 and are beginning its release now. According to Express UK, the simulation game and player's islands would be covered with white snow and elements that represent Christmas.

"Animal Crossing: New Horizon's" Winter Update is an exclusive patch for the Nintendo Switch which is the only console that received the game. The simulation game is also gearing up for its latest features of migrating to different Nintendo Switch devices, bringing one's island and saved data.

Different missions and tasks also await players in the Winter Update as two events that represent real-world holidays are under schedule in the game. The first event is "Turkey Day" that represents Thanksgiving, and the next would be called "Toy Day" that constitutes Christmas.

'Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Patch 1.6.0: Everything You Need to Know

According to Nintendo, the Winter Update would present everything Christmas and relate to the holiday vibes from characters to the environment. "Animal Crossing: NH's" Winter Update is free for all gamers that already have the game. The update would be available at 10:00 am, local time.

There would also be nine new reactions to learn and add to the "Reaction Book." The new reactions could be used to interact with different inhabitants of the island and among in-game friends. Additionally, shaking decorated trees reward materials for crafting furniture and decorations.

Turkey Day

The "Turkey Day" would be the first event players will experience in the Winter Update for "Animal Crossing: NH." Thanksgiving's Turkey Day would take place on November 26, and players globally can experience this. Also, First-class chef Franklin would appear and give a task that would help him gather ingredients to cook. The ingredient task's completion would reward players in the form of a gift.

Toy Day

"Toy Day" would take place a day before Christmas Day on December 24, and the task would be helping the Reindeer, Jingles, to deliver gifts across the island to the islanders and inhabitants.

Home Storage Expansion

Tom Nook is offering a massive home storage expansion of 2,400 slots. Players would need to settle all debts and tasks that Nook requires, After those, players would only need to talk to Tom Nook, and the upgrade would take place. This upgrade would give players a new debt towards Nook.
