The new "Phasmophobia" prison map is now out on beta testing, which adds another twist in the highly-popular ghost-hunting game. While players are loving the new level, they are also reporting various bugs on the game.
With seven maps divided under three categories, fans have been going gaga over the game, but after some time, many hoped to see more maps and variety in the game. The newest "Phasmophobia" feature is medium-size map like the Brownstone High School with a bit of traditional beliefs about prisons.

According to Game Rant, the blurb noted that the prison was shut down recently after a series of unexplainable deaths. Since the causes or the nature of the deaths remains unknown, they are somehow being linked to certain haunting activities in the area.
Like other "Phasmophobia" maps, players enter the site and aid the ghost removal team by gathering as much evidence of entity presence. However, this new prison map is not available for all players as it is currently part of the Steam beta build.
For those who want to play it, they may visit the Steam library and right click on the game. Then, enable the beta build after selecting properties and choosing beta-Unstable build under None. There will be a small update on the game before being able to play the new prison level.

As much as players are loving the creepy feels of the new prison map, they are also reporting numerous bugs found on the beta version. Players share their new experiences in playing the new game build.
Harry Emerson said a bug does not allow him to place a motion sensor inside the monitor room where controls for the Block B lights are located. Tomasz Wieczorek also reported that the game still continues even after the person ran out of time. He also said that ghost could not kill anyone.

Another player, Ethan Temple noticed that the dark haired, white female character Measurie's skin tone changes to black as she gets near the computer inside the truck. He said that he experienced such in two games. Temple also warned that dropping a thing on the stairs leading to the prison entrance can make it disappear since it has a ramp as collision barrier. While players can still find their stuff, looking for a lighter or other small item may be hard to do.
Darki also experienced a bug where a friend died twice, but still shows alive while Jordan S said the glowstick did not track fingerprints on the cell door while the UV torch does. Some players also complain about the distance between door and the truck.
Meanwhile, Coffee n' VR complained about experiencing ghost haunting in only two areas after doing 12 runs: in the showers in the far right as well as on top of the Prison Cell Room B ramps. Nevertheless, he still loves exploring the map while on VR, although he felt exploring other rooms seems useless.

However, James Annala replied to Coffee n'VR as he found a ghost in the small room below the cafeteria while Ryo Unari said he found ghosts in the lunch room and office. "Sounds like it's just bad luck on your end," Annala said.
Since it is unclear whether the bugs reported on the Trello thread is being acknowledged by the developers, Annala urged those who are having issues playing the "Phasmophobia" Prison Level Beta to join the Discord discussion to report their concerns.
