Many users have agreed and shared their thoughts regarding the software problem, which they are also experiencing with their Apple devices. The users have specifically regarded that the iOS 14.2 update was the culprit for this. Upon its update, several problems occur, with the battery being the most significant problem of all.

The issue is thought to be centering on the Apple operating system that is still in Beta testing mode for users and developers alike. Users saw a mysterious change that adds battery percentage whenever restarting their iPhones with their battery drained initially.

Users of the newer Apple iPhone models, particularly the iPhone 12, have reported that this is not happening to their devices, running on the same iOS 14.2.

Users have argued that the latest version of the iPhone's operating system contains a collection of massive bugs that does not only affect the battery. Bugs for the iOS 14.2 also included the Messages app's "Read" and "Delivered" status to trigger certain malfunctions.

The forum discussed the report and are rather experienced by a vast number of iPhone users on iOS 14.2, meaning that these problems are not just random occurrences; instead, the operating system's faulty version. Apple still has not addressed this problem, provided solutions, or gave a software update to fix the reported bugs.

According to Mac Rumors' post comments, a user believes that this occurrence was caused by the country's colder weather, which contributed to the battery's percentage drop and changing status.
