Nintendo Switch will have a new feature that anime lovers will surely love. The Funimation app will soon arrive in the popular console, allowing the players to stream their favorite anime for the first time!

Right now, Nintendo Switch doesn't have a full line-up of streaming apps. As of the moment, only Hulu and YouTube were the only streaming services that arrived on the console's hardware.

The likes of Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus, and Netflix are still unavailable currently. However, Nintendo Switch's streaming apps are slowly expanding since the popular Funimation anime streaming service will arrive in the game console, covering the United Kingdom, the United States, Mexico, and Ireland.

Players residing in Canada and the U.S. will first experience the new app on Dec. 15.

Funimation confirmed that it will officially the anime streaming service will have a new design, which will also roll out to more apps in the coming months. However, before you get to experience Nintendo Switch's new streaming service, you must a subscription, which will cost $5.99 or £4.99 every month, as reported by Tech Radar.

Now, what is Funimation? This service is the leading anime content provider. It has a massive catalog of anime series, including "Fairy Tail to Yuri," "Attack on Tita," "ICE," as well as "Dragon Ball." Funimation has its place in a growing anime market since it is a large distributor of dubbed anime.

Funimation will have a new anime in its lineup!

Funimation announced that it will start streaming the popular anime "Otherside Picnic," a science fiction yuri novel series. It confirmed that the new show will premiere on January 4, 2021.

According to Anime News Network's latest report, the upcoming anime is expected to be available in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Ireland. On the other hand, the new anime will premiere in Japan via Sun TV, Tokyo MX, AT-X, and BS11 on January 4, 2021.
