Apple finally releases the latest iOS 14.3 in iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The latest smartphone system brings several new features and fixes for the previous bugs that users are complaining about.

These include the latest ProRAW image editing and capturing support in the iPhone native camera and photos app. The new update should encourage many users to take full advantage of their devices' powerful camera systems.

This new format also combines Apple's image processing features, such as Deep Fusion and Smart HDR, during photo capture with post-editing freedom of a basic RAW photo file.

iPhones that currently supports ProRAW

According to Tech Spot's latest report, the ProRAW feature is currently available in the latest iPhone 12 models. This means that it is still not integrated into older iPhone versions.

Although this is the case, Apple now allows iPhone 6 flagships and other smartphones up to iPhone X to take mirror selfies. This feature was introduced in 2018 together with iPhone XS.

Not only that, but iOS 14.3 also delivers support for the latest $549 AirPods Max over-ear headphones. Weather, Health, TV, Shortcuts, and other native apps were also improved.

Using ProRAW

The Verge reported that using the new ProRAW feature is pretty easy. All you need to do is open your iPhone 12's camera options. You can do this by locating the settings menu. Once you're in that section, you need to find the "RAW" button, which is located at the upper-right of the camera viewfinder. After that, you must toggle the ProRAW option on.

However, you need to remember that using ProRAW to take pictures will use a large amount of memory. ProRAW images are around 25MB in size, which is larger than the normal photo you take when the feature is off. This means that you should only use it when taking intentional photos with the people you love.
