Since smartphones are really easy to use and very portable, users tend to store important information on their iPhones. However, there are instances that the device can accidentally delete all your sensitive data.

Katie Walls, a meteorologist, found out that there's a hidden setting in iPhone that can erase all your data. She explained that her 10-month-old son accidentally tried to log in ten times on her smartphone.

However, she said that security settings automatically deletes everything on your device after ten unsuccessful login attempts. Walls added that all her data, including her last backup, were deleted. To help you change it, here's a quick guide on how to prevent your data from deletion.

Changing iPhone's hidden settings

According to Kimi Komando's latest report, the first thing you need to do is to open your iPhone's settings. After that, you must scroll down and click the "Face ID and Passcode" option. 

Once you are there, you need to use your PIN code to log in. Scroll down again to the bottom and look for the "Erase Data' option. You need to slide the toggle to the left to turn off the feature.
