Huawei is now back with its brand new flagship smartphone. This is if the rumors are to be believed. The new Huawei P50 is reportedly its next 6.6 inch flagship phone that might make use of 5G chips for it to bypass certain restrictions.

Huawei P50 leak

According to the Leaker Steve Hemmerstoff from OnLeaks reported by Voice that revealed a particular render of the new Huawei P50 Pro. This could reportedly be the Chinese manufacturer's own latest smartphone according to the Android Police. It is quite similar in a number of ways to the popular Huawei P40.

The story by PCMags notes that the similarity starts especially in its size. Hemmerstoffer now claims that the brand new Huawei P50 Pro will be featuring a "massive" display at 6.6 inches and its very own 159mm x 73mm chassis. With its thin bezels and even a curvy profile, it now looks quite like the popular Huawei family of different phones that came before it.

Huawei to use 5G chips

It now appeared that there actually won't be a brand new dual front cam array with this Huawei P50 but just a certain single hole punch camera. Hemmerstoffer then claims that there will also no longer be a certain magnetic earpiece speaker system with the brand new P50 either. Instead, the next flagship phone will reportedly come along with a pretty standard setup.

It is still currently unclear as to which chip will be powering the brand new smartphone. Amid the whole US trade ban, Qualcomm has actually received a license back on November 13 for it to sell a quantity of products, which will include a number of 4G products to Huawei. However, this does not actually cover 5G chips.

Huawei in the US and UK

Huawei had reportedly relied quite largely on its very own Kirin chips for its long range of different flagship phones as well as the Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor for its reportedly cheaper models. However, Huawei has stated over the recent summer that it was actually running out of processors due to the then ongoing US sanctions.

Huawei has definitely become the whole world's top smartphone vendor back in Q2 2020. This was reportedly largely due to the pandemic depressed smartphone demand that was increasing all across the globe. However, Samsung was still capable of reclaiming its usual top place during the third quarter of 2020.

Huawei has had quite a complicated relationship with the United States and the timeline of the whole complication was noted in an article by CNet. Sweden has recently banned Huawei 5G and the smartphone manufacturer, back in December 4 of 200 has reportedly been in talks with the United States to allow its finance boss by the name of Meng Wanzhou to return to China by making a deal. The new 5G smartphones aren't met with much restriction in the US but could prove hard to make it to the UK as they have made things harder for the company.
