Wireless goes further as Xiaomi has recently Tweeted a post unveiling its brand new "remote charging technology" that the company calls the Mi Air Charge. This brand new technology by Xiaomi is aimed to take wireless charging to its next evolution.

This particularly known kind of remote charging has already been hyped up for a couple of years at this point. However, it seems like Xiaomi will be the first ever to be able to successfully commercialize it.

Xiaomi does not shy away from charging innovations as they have introduced the 80W wireless charging as well as the more powerful 120W wireless charging. Its previous advancements, however, as noted in the article by XDA-Developers, were a bit more incremental as opposed to revolutionary.

Xiaomi Mi Air wireless charging Technology

The company has publicly shared a few details  regarding its brand new Xiaomi Mi Air Charge technology posted on its official blog. The company then noted that this technology is actually capable of delivering power up to 5W towards a single device "over a distance of a couple of meters" far from the self-developed isolated charging pile.

This particular charging pile is said to have 5 phase interference antennas in order to accurately determine the exact position of the users' mobile device. Once the location is then determined, the phase control array, which is composed of 144 different antennas, will then transmit millimeter wide waves through the use of beamforming.

The particular technology receiving device is said to have a miniature antenna ray along with a built-in "beacon antenna" as well as a "receiving antenna array." It was noted that the former broadcasts the main position information while the latter is actually a 14 antenna ray that will convert millimeter wave signals directly into electrical energy through the use of a rectifier circuit.

Xiaomi currently owns 17 different technology patents that are all related to this particular remote charging technology. The company, as of the moment, has not yet revealed its plans to officially commercialize the Xiaomi Mi Air Charge, but it still correctly says that this particular technology will definitely be a game charger for a number of smart home products.

Remote charging system

Many companies have already tried to make this particular remote charging system for a while in the past which is why Xiaomi's success, as of the moment, is really interesting. The company had also Tweeted a post regarding their particularly new wireless charging technology that takes charging to a whole new level.

The Tweet noted that Xiaomi is now very excited to bring consumers the new remote charging technology along with their Mi Air Change Technology. The tweet then explained that it is capable of charging multiple devices simultaneously while users could be gaming, walking around, or even when something is in between the way with no strings attached. They then claimed that this will be a huge leap forward into the area of wireless charging technology.
