In the second year of its Twitch Rivals Streamer Bowl, streaming platform Twitch has announced the lineup of celebrities and streamers to play the hit online battle arena game Fortnite.
Coinciding with the NFL Super Bowl LV, the global streaming platform will be hosting the esports tournament, teams will be duking it out with other teams in an elimination-style tourney. The Twitch event is set for Feb. 4, Thursday, at 3:00 p.m. PT / 6:00 p.m. ET. Testing the skills of both NFL athletes and popular streamers, the Twitch Rivals Streamer Bowl is the perfect event to build the hype before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers face off against the Kansas City Chiefs in the highly-anticipated culmination of the NFL 2020 Season.
Each team will be made up of three members: a Twitch streamer, a community fan, and an NFL pro athlete. There are a total of 30 teams competing for the part of the $1 million charity prize pool, with some of the teams being the following:
- Team 2K: Reverse2K, Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield, and UltimateGG_
- The Hills: NateHill, Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey, and JonJon69

According to the streaming platform, the upcoming event is a collaboration between streamer competition channel Twitch Rivals, Epic Games' Fortnite, and the NFL Players Association. Last year's Streamer Bowl enjoyed a viewership of more than one million and is expecting an audience just as massive, if not more, for this year's tournament.

Fortnite is a battle royale game first released by Epic Games back in 2017. It has three game mode versions that utilize the same game mechanics but in different environments. In Fortnite: Save the World, up to four players work together in this hybrid tower defense/ shooter/ survival game to help them fend off zombie-like creatures with traps and obstacles to help them fend off zombie-like creatures they survive.
Perhaps its most popular version, Fortnite Battle Royale is a free-to-play game that allows up to 100 players to fight until only one person remains. Players, aside from hunting and eliminating other players, can also build structures for various purposes - such as defense or gaining the higher ground - and ultimately provide players an advantage.
