"The Legend of Zelda" has been a mainstay in video gaming, featuring several versions including the "Breath of the Wild" that now focuses on an open-world gaming fantasy where players can own horses. These magnificent animals can also be one's trusty steed and traveling companion in the game, but like all things in Zelda, players would go through a rigorous process.

Like in real life, Horses come in all shapes and sizes, along with different personalities and behavior, with some, not wanting to be tied down and be a traveling companion which proves to be a handful while mastering them. According to Game Rant, Link would be traveling by horse but upon unmounting it, it can become lost if it is not nearby.

Calling back a horse is easy and it only requires players to press "Down" on the Switch's D-Pad, and it would automatically come to summon if it is nearby. However, the trusty steed can be lost, and finding one again, going through the whole process of being its master is another issue.

To do this, players would need to find a stable, which can be found anywhere as they have no indications on the map until they are found. Explore for a stable and unlocking it would be a place for Link to come and go, bringing and taking horses to be used as desired.

Repeat this process as much as one wants, and keep an array of speedy rides to go on adventures across the land.

'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild': How to Tame a Horse

On the other hand, losing a horse means players need to go out to the wild, search for a horse, and tame it so that it would adhere to the user's commands and act as a traveling companion. Players need to be careful in approaching one as it easily gets startled by the character's presence.

The trick to tame one is to crouch down while approaching it using the left joystick and hold it down while going towards the direction of the horse. After getting to a safe distance, players need to press "A" and mount the horse.

Each horse has its temperament and behavior, with users needing to calm it before it gains its respect. To do this, press "L" to continuously pat the horse until it calms down and this would make him or her obey. After this, horses can now be summoned by pressing the down button.
