Spotify listeners will now be able to get a chance to pay for some higher-quality audio when the said streaming service would launch a new tier saying that it will provide its users with CD-quality lossless audio.

Both the pricing as well as the launch date have yet to be officially announced however, the Spotify HiFi will actually cost more than the Spotify Premium and will also be marketed as a particular Premium add-on.

Spotify HiFi vs Spotify Premium: What's the difference?

According to an article by TechCrunch, this brand new service will allow users to be able to access basically better audio quality with the new Premium add-on which would reportedly cost more than Spotify Premium itself.

The next service is called the Spotify HiFi and will roll out some new features for its users but the details are still very limited as of the moment.

That was reportedly maybe the biggest news that the company has made this 2021 at the recent Stream On event. The platform also announced that it will also be rolling out an audience development tool for its artist, a new audio ad marketplace, other continued international expansion, a new podcast co-hosted by both Barack Obama as well as Bruce Springsteen, and a test of different paid podcast subscriptions.

Joe Rogan moved to Spotify for $100 million

As of the moment, it's still quite hard to picture what these new features could be but with Spotify's dip into the podcast world offering Joe Rogan incentives to join Spotify despite his already huge success on YouTube. It can be seen that the company is making efforts for it to be able to bring fresh content to their platform.

Although Joe Rogan reportedly had not really offered his podcast up for sale on Spotify, an article by Bloomberg noted that the platform had agreed to pay the popular podcast host a whopping $100 million just for him to host his podcast on Spotify.

Although Joe Rogan still reportedly makes his YouTube content, he only uploaded snippets on his channels and no longer the full podcast.

JRE Clips and PowerfulJRE

One interesting thing about this is that Joe Rogan reportedly has two channels named the Joe Rogan Experience as well as the JRE Clips. The PowerfulJRE channel used to be the channel hosting his full podcast while the JRE Clips channel would work as some soft of promotion to his other channel with the full podcasts.

Ever since Joe Rogan's entry to Spotify, he has then decided to move the snippets from the JRE Clips to the PowerfulJRE to gain more traction. He still promotes watching the full podcast on Spotify which is now the podcaster's main platform where he has hosted some pretty powerful interviews with the likes of people such as Elon Musk and other important figures in the public today.

With the new Spotify HiFi, users will just have to wait and see what the upcoming feature will bring and how it differentiates from Spotify Premium.
