"Fable 4" has been teased and announced last year, but it has not revealed any developments until recent discoveries that suggest it would use "Forza's" game engine as it brings its fantasy role-playing game to gamers. Not much was divulged with this information but it was Microsoft who has leaked this via a Turn10 Studios job opening on its website.

The world is awaiting Microsoft and Playground Games for one of the most popular fantasy RPGs which is dedicated to the Xbox and PC platform of Windows which was well-loved and adored by fans. It has been eleven years since the last of the franchise game came out ("Fable III" in 2010) and it has been a long wait for the players of the game.

There may have been a "Fable Legends" but it got canceled amidst production in 2016, and the "Fable Fortune" digital card game released in 2017 may hold the character and its lore, but is not quite the continuation. Last 2018, it was revealed that U.K.'s Playground Games would pick up the sequel for "Fable 4" and has been in the works since then.

'Fable 4' to Use the Same Engine as 'Forza' Games

The most recent development in the production of "Fable 4" is the revelation that it would use the same game engine which "Forza Horizon" and "Forza Motorsport" has been using with its development. This move is ideal, especially as "Forza" is known for its incredible graphics, performance, ray tracing, and other elements of the game.

The leak was discovered via Microsoft's career website which has opened a listing for a software engineer for Turn10 Studios and has revealed there that a "toolset" for "Fable 4" would also be part of the job. This listing has been intended by Microsoft to let the applicant know about what would be in-store when joining the ranks of Microsoft, but it was not for revelations.

However, it is already out in the public, and Turn10 Studios is known for its stakes in the "Forza" franchise, acting primarily with the development of its Motorsport division that was massive in the series. This also suggests the arrival of a new racing game which is "Forza Motorsport 8," and was also implied in the job description.

'Fable 4' Release Date

"Fable 4" is under a production that has not revealed much of the game since it announced the reboot, and the released teaser trailer lasts July 2020. The RPG's usage of the "Forza" engine is the closest it has to development updates, but apart from that, people remain in the dark with Playground Games' progress.

Not much is also known for its storyline or plot, and several leaks suggest that it would be an MMORPG set in the lore of the "Fable" series, as suggested by Game Radar. More speculations point that it would not yet come out this year, but the good news is that it would be in time for the modern console of Microsoft, the Xbox Series X.
