Right now, some rumors claim that Windows 10 is suffering from a bug that will annoyingly use up all your free space. This could cause a PC software's hard drive to fill up quite quickly, especially if users install a bunch of online games and other programs.

However, it would not stack up suddenly if the software is working properly. Although this is the case, there are some instances where users are seeing a rapid increase in their memory space.

If you are seeing this unusual behavior on your Windows 10 PC or laptop, then there's a high chance that your device is suffering from the new free space bug issue.

To give you more idea, here's how Windows 10's new garbage gigabyte issue works and how it can be resolved.

This issue was first spotted by a Reddit user. He said that a Windows security application is the one behind this major flaw.

"Our alerts for HDD space started going off last night," said the Reddit user.

"One server has 18 MILLION FILES in the Store folder. Another has 13 MILLION. Taking hours just to discover all of the files so that they can be deleted," he added.

Meanwhile, security experts said that there's something you can do to fix it. All you have to do is follow these steps:

  1. Go to the "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Scans\History\Store" in your file explorer.
  2. After that, press CTRL + A to select all the visible files that will appear.
  3. Once selected, press SHIFT + Del to permanently delete the files from your system.

Windows 10X Would Not Arrive?

Meanwhile, some rumors claimed that the new Windows 10X would not arrive since Microsoft already canceled it. Beta News reported that the tech giant manufacturer did this since it is now focusing on improving its current Windows 10 system.

Although this is the case, this information is still a speculation. The best thing to do is wait for Microsoft's actual announcement.
