The world has been more than eight years since the last "Grand Theft Auto" game has been released, with Rockstar bringing "GTA V" for the PlayStation 4 last 2013. It has been one of the top-grossing games, and still, one of the most played, especially during this pandemic where Rockstar and Epic Games teamed up to bring its full version for free.

This is one of the longest gaming franchises in the world, and the longest development from Rockstar to spin off a new sequel compared to its past releases. "GTA III" to "GTA 4" may have taken eight years to release but it had other releases in the middle with "GTA San Andreas" and other side storylines that are well-beloved by fans and gamers.

'GTA 6' Map Leaks: Rockstar Games South America-Inspired?

Currently, four leaks show the initial map renders for the "Grand Theft Auto VI's" upcoming game, and each has its different interpretation and imagination of what the next map would look like. Moreover, certain speculations from reliable and non-reliable sources have been debating over the next look of the beloved sequel of the game.

Check out the maps below:

Map 3 (2020)

Map 4 (2021)

Now, these maps may look different from each other and suggests different faces and locations, but all of them are believed to be centering on the far city of "Vice City" which is known to be based in Miami, Florida. Speculations and themes suggest that it would take on some Latin American cultures and plots in the game, with some even suggesting its off-America plot.

While Vice City is a popular destination in the "Grand Theft Auto" lore and being one of the most favorite plots of the franchise, it would make sense to move to the East Coast of Miami, from the game's recent locations. In "GTA IV" and "GTA V," the main setting of the game was in Liberty City, which resembles the Sunny State of California, particularly in Los Angeles and Hollywood.

'GTA 6' to Be Led by Latino-Heritage Character? No Sequel to Franklin?

According to the discussions in Reddit's r/GTA6 community, there are heavy speculations that "GTA 6" would be primarily center on a Latin American character, following the footsteps of "GTA Vice City." This is because of the game being set on Vice City (a.k.a Miami) which is heavily influenced by its surrounding countries.

Initial leaks and speculations that "GTA VI" will be a sequel to Franklin's future are more clouded now, especially as the leaks suggest that Vice City would be the main focus. However, it is important to take these leaks with caution, as all of the information indicated above are based on speculations and fan theories for the RPG game.
