"Biomutant" has finally announced their release date, and although some gamers were expecting to try out the game immediately, it seems like there could be a problem even getting started as the installation itself requires help. While the "Biomutant" gameplay that was teased looked really amazing, the frustration itself comes with the launch.

'Biomutant' Launch fail

According to the popular PS5 restock tracker on Twitter, commonly known for providing not just PS5 updates but also other game updates online, Wario64, followed the launch of "Biomutant" even 13 minutes before it was released. The thread continued and the PS5 restock Twitter account noted that the game won't install and that Wario64 was too lazy to reboot.

Wario64 then noted that the account's guess is that things didn't pan out and that people should request for a refund if they want. Wario64 then directly contacted EA and the company noted that they were actually aware of the technical issue of "Biomutant" and that they are working towards fixing it.

'Biomutant' Issue Installing

The reply was shown in a screenshot informing Wario64 that a technical issue does exist and that a lot of players are indeed facing the same type of issue. The good thing, noted by the reply, is that it has been brought into the notice of the officially concerning team and that they are now diligently working on fixing the problem as soon as possible.

Wario64 was then told to wait for some time as the issue is known by the concerned team and that they are working hard in order to fix the issue. In order to install the game, gamers might have to wait a while until the official announcement on when the "Biomutant" can finally run comes out.

How to Fix 'Biomutant' Install Issue

According to the thead, another issue could have actually happened on the EA desktop. Basically, the reply to the thread notes that players could have actually downloaded a DLC instead of the game itself. The reply that the gamer got from EA was different, telling them that when players try to buy the "Biomutant" standard edition through the EA desktop, they then receive the "Biomutant - Mercenary Class DLC" instead.

EA support then says that the base game was actually not included in the DLC and that the issue has now been resolved. It was said to be an administrative error that caused the issue and that it was quickly corrected. The EA support then noted that the complainant can receive a full refund then proceed to purchase the base game directly from the website.

Based on the reply of the EA support, gamers might have to purchase the game directly from the website instead of EA desktop in order to avoid confusion and download the DLC version instead of the base game. "Biomutant" is available online at Origin. Make sure to download the base game and not the DLC.
