PS5 restock update

CNET reported that Amazon PS5 supplies were also out of stock on Wednesday, May 26. Users are aware that the tech giant is only replenishing stocks irregularly--the worst could take a month before another restock comes. What could we do to catch up with the smart eyes who always browse online stores?

The majority of the buyers have a hard time finding PS5 at the moment since the stores often encounter "out-of-stock" scenarios. What contributes to this chaos is the threat from the global chip shortage which is believed to persist until 2023.

Even for months of waiting, several people have had bad luck in securing a sure slot for PS5. Sony has been doing everything to ease the problem.

"We're working as hard as we can to ameliorate that situation. We see production ramping up over the summer and certainly into the second half of the year, and we would hope to see some sort of return to normality in terms of the balance between supply and demand during that period," Jim Ryan, the Sony Entertainment CEO said previously.

PS5 Restock Recap

Last week, the grueling queue of users was recorded. A surge of restocks arrived but only a few managed to get a console.

  • PlayStation Direct (May 20) - Although it's one of the best retailers where you can get PS5, the restocks in this store could disappear in a few minutes.

  • Best Buy (May 23) - Users saw a lot of restocks at that time, but they only lasted for a moment.

  • Walmart (May 20) - This retailer has a wonderful approach in dealing with scalpers, but during the time of console resupply, the solution seems to have malfunctioned. Remember that Walmart is fond of announcing PS5 restocks in waves so all you need is to regularly refresh its page.

  • GameStop (May 19) - If you want some PS5 bundles, GameStop is the best place for you. Forget the hassle of looking for a controller through this shop.

Useful Tips to Get PS5 in Major Retailers

If you are lucky enough to enter PlayStation Direct's page, you can possibly acquire a PS5, especially in its peak hours in the afternoon. You can also send an email to Sony so you won't miss any updates for the potential PS5 restocks-- through PS Plus subscription.

You can also do this trick if you are desperate to get a PS5. Make sure that the restock link is open to your other devices. Your chances to obtain the console can improve.

If you fail to score from major retailers like GameStop and Amazon, you may want to check the links many times. Run daily monitoring for each of them.

You can also simultaneously access different pages using various browsers like Chrome and Firefox. It always depends on luck like a raffle so the more stores you visit, the more chances of scoring PS5.

If you miss your shot from the retail shops, you can visit other sites like StockX and eBay, but be mindful that the price of PS5 here could be more costly than those found in big online stores.

Remember that it's only up to you whether you want to buy now for a bigger price or wait for a moment for an SRP amount.
