Pierpaolo Lazzarini, an Italian designer under the Lazzarini Design Studio, has created multiple futuristic and most outlandish designs ever since 1982. Most of his projects revolve around watercraft and automotive concept ideas that perfectly mix comfort, luxury, mobility, and innovation.

The company's most recent design is a blueprint for a stunning amphibious vehicle equipped with the ability to traverse three areas: water, land, and air. It can fly high in the sky, cruise through the ocean, and run on highways.

There is no denying that Lazzarini has outdone himself with his new creation, referred to as "Stratosfera."

Details on the New Carbon Fiber Sphere

According to Yanko Design, Lazzarini said that there are snowcat and submarine variations of the Stratosfera currently under the works. This could only mean that the artist plans to expand his collection under the name Stratosfera.

The report also mentioned that the all-new carbon fiber sphere is a vehicle that could provide the option of taking the sea and the sky for their entertainment and leisure.

Stratosfera is referred to as Stratosfera Aquatica when used in watercraft mode, traversing water. On the other hand, it will be known as the Stratosfera Volatile when utilizing its flight mode option.

Both of these modes offer commendable power to engage the passengers forward.

Design, Mechanism, and Release Date of Stratosfera

According to Idea Huntr, Stratosfera has a spherical design of about 1.65 meters in diameter. It seems to be a small pod that could only fit up to two people.

The body is composed of ultra-lightweight carbon fiber raw material, contributing to the vehicle's ability to fly.

In water mode, Stratosfera Aquatica only has a shallow center of gravity because of the batteries inside the lower portion of the extendable foil feature. Because of this position, the structure acts like a gyroscope, which keeps the sphere pod's stability a number one priority with the self-balancing system.

This element ensures a smooth ride on the water.

When it is on the air, Stratosfera Volatile starts to act similar to a quadcopter. It will have a speed of 250 km/h eVTOL, and it can also has a solar-powered flying mode.

Stratosfera will significantly contribute to the futuristic upgrades of both watercrafts and aircrafts.

This new carbon fiber sphere spherical pod works by extending a hydrofoil to generate enough power to glide on top of the water. When heading towards to sky in flight mode, the vehicle utilizes built-in electrical engines with 150 horsepower.

The exact release of Lazzarini Design Studio's project still has no date. However, Yanko Design said that the vehicle would probably launch as Jet Capsule Company's open-source project.

Based on its progress, the project might already be available by mid-2022.
