Chaos Knight Nessaj of "Dota 2" has snuck his way into the spotlight.

For those that have been using the character, this guide will be no stranger as the methods explained are already known by most pro gamers.

The Divine and Immortal bracket win rate for the character stands somewhere around 53.2% according to Dotabuff. This, however, is already enough to give the warrior the 12th highest win rating when it comes to the top level of public matchmaking.

When it comes to learning how to play Chaos Knight "Dota 2," it is important to understand the strengths and weaknesses of Nessaj.

Reality Rift and Blink Dagger

Chaos Knight is not Chaos Knight without Reality Rift. The ability helps prevent enemy heroes from killing Nessaj and the illusions he fights with. The ability itself is to use with Blink Dagger making it an easy "assassination" move.

Due to the changes, users can use Phantasm in order to leave illusions, then suddenly blink directly onto a target that least expects it. The critical strikes coming from Nessaj are also a great way of killing enemies.

Scepter and Shard

The Aghanim's Scepter and Aghanim's Shard upgrades help make Chaos Knight really strong. The Scepter doubles team damage helping Phantasm illusions deal 100% damage. The cast range bonus also makes the Chaos Bolt easier to use.

Laning

Chaos Knight is good to use as a safe lane carry according to an article by HotSpawn. Users might want to pull the lane back to the tower keeping safe distance. Don't go for lane kills!

Players should use Chaos Bolt and Reality Rift to get early kills. Once done, rush to get Power Treads and Armlet of Mordiggian. Also, buy Gloves of Haste.

Mid Game

Phantasm is pretty spammable but don't overuse it and still save it for the right time. It is important to buy a Sange and Yasha into Black King Bar. All the items should ramp up the players' strength.

Late Game

Assault cuirass is the end goal as well as Blink Dagger. Aghanim's Scepter should also be present to help players' mana issues.

Chaos Skill Choice

Chaos Knight decently progresses over time. Prioritize Chaos Bolt, maximize Chaos Strike, then get the Phantasm as soon as possible. Basically Max out Reality Rift then Chaos Bolt.
