Even though the latest smartphones of Apple boast impressive speeds due to its next-gen mobile chipset, allowing its users to run heavy tasks and high graphic games, it could still slow down eventually as it gets cluttered.

The solution to that does not require you to replace or upgrade your new iPhone 13 immediately. Instead, you'll only need to clean up some unnecessary files on your smartphone.

Clear Cache on iPhone

Tons of iOS users are typically heading on to Google to search "how to clear the cache on iPhone" as there is no straightforward way of doing so.

Although Apple's smartphone software is touted to be more user-friendly than its more complex rival, Android--for some reason, clearing cache is not as easy as a single tap.

However, doing so is actually not rocket science. In fact, by following the steps below, you could speed up and clear more space on your iPhone 13 at the same time.

Before anything else, what does clearing cache exactly do for your iPhone?

According to the report by BusinessInsider, clearing the cache would mean that your iPhone would be deleting unnecessary data from the apps installed on your device, which in turn, should help it run buttery smooth.

On top of that, according to LaptopMag, while the cache is actually important as it helps apps to load faster by temporarily storing data, it could start clogging up your memory after a while.

That said, without any further ado, here's how to free up the cache on your iPhone 13.

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Go to General.
  • Then, select iPhone Storage.
  • Upon doing so, you'll see the list of all of the apps installed on your phone.
  • Select an app.
  • Lastly, tap the "Offload App" button.

And that's it. However, it is worth noting that you will have to do the same process to each app that you'll want to clear the cache.

The Offload App button, according to Apple, "will free up storage used by the app, but keep its documents and data."

It is to note that if ever you have stumbled upon an app that has not been used for a long time now, just below the Offload button is the "Delete App" option.

Essentially, deleting an app would, of course, free up more space than merely clearing its cache.

Elsewhere, another way to speed up your iPhone 13 is to reset it. Here's how to do it step-by-step.
