Sony and PlayStation aim to take it to the next level by making it available for the PS5, the company's next-generation console that was released in 2020. The PSVR 2 was speculated to be under development from the company, bringing its features and tech right into the eyes of the beholder.
While it is still speculation, many reports have already focused on its specs, including its 4K and OLED capabilities, as well as head and eye-tracking to match the game to the owner carefully. Its features are massively close to what the metaverse will require soon.

Meta's Oculus Quest 2 is one of the top regarded VR or AR devices now, and other devices do not come close to what the company is offering to the public.
There are speculations now that the Oculus brand will release a Quest Pro headset soon, bringing a better device for the people to experience, focusing on a wireless integration for the whole "metaverse" feels.
For now, the Meta Oculus Quest 2 is the winner as it is the readily-available device offered to the public directly. However, the features of the PSVR 2 may be a reason for its challenge to the popular AR and VR brand from Meta, soon colliding.
