Air Taxis are now a thing in Japan, and the Land of the Rising Sun will have it through Joby Aviation and ANA's collaboration that will bring the flying cars over to the east. The eVTOL vehicles will get a new feature for users to enjoy, which will change the country's mode of transportation.

However, with its availability to other countries, questions now focus on when the United States will have it.

All Nippon Airways Holdings (ANA) and Joby Aviation announced the collaboration of the two companies to bring air taxis to Japan, focusing on the commercial availability of the vehicle. ANA is the new partner of Joby to bring the eVTOLs to the Asian country, something that would elevate its mode of transportation to new heights.

Also joining the partnership is the Toyota Motor Corporation, which will help have the flying car system available for people to use upon need freely. Joby said that the electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicle could travel with a maximum of 150 miles at 200 miles per hour (top speed).

The one-hour travel time can be reduced to 15 minutes with the air taxi, claims Joby.

When is the Air Taxi Service Coming to the US?

Joby Aviation is hailing from California, so it should be that the United States should be the first to secure air taxi travels, but that is not entirely the case here. South Korea already received their collaboration with Joby to enforce the air taxis in the country, with SKT in charge of the overseas operations in the Asian nation.

For now, Americans will have to wait for Joby's licensing and decisions for an air taxi service in the US.

Joby Aviation and eVTOLs

NASA and Joby Aviation already had several collaborations from the past where the releases from the company and space agency showed a promising partnership for the future. The companies focus on Air Taxi services soon, focusing on the flying car ventures for people to use on short distances.

Initially, NASA and Joby said that Air Taxi flights would be a regular venture for the companies, and it will be apparent in the country. However, after the test flights were made known to the public, there was not much news regarding NASA and Joby's collaboration to bring the Air Taxi to the country or make it available for public use.

For now, the US will have to wait for its air taxi or flying car ventures as it will focus on Joby Aviation or other companies to push for its availability in the country.

Asian countries like Japan and South Korea will have the venture earlier than others for its recent flying cars collaborations, which will focus on its commercial availability.
