Apple's current version of the Safari beta would now ask users to input their usernames when logging in with a saved password to ensure that it is the correct login for the user. The current Safari update is available on iOS 15.4 for the iPhone and iPad devices and the Mac computers via the macOS 12.3 platform for the public.

The CEO and founder of "Flighty App," Ryan Jones, have asked online if there were changes to the Safari beta regarding its feature, asking for a username alongside a password change. Indeed, this is a new feature from the iOS and macOS as it did not ask for it before, especially on smartphones that usually ask for prompts to save logins only.

Jones got an answer from one of Apple's Software Engineer Manager, Ricky Mondello, discussing the new Safari beta that brings in the feature for the devices. Safari would save the password before with the username being "sans user name," and it would only prefill its best guess from the last login to continue with the Autofill.

However, that changes now with the new feature.

Mondello said that the company intentionally included this feature to avoid pain in the login process for the iOS and macOS that uses Safari's Saved Login feature to remember inputs. It will help be more accurate in logins and correctly determine the accounts instead of having multiple saved passwords without a specific username for logging in to different websites.

Apple and the Current Features for the iOS

The current version of the iOS focuses on 15.4 for the iPhone and iPad and macOS's 12.3 for its computers, bringing the operating systems and features for its devices. One bittersweet revelation for the iOS 15.4 is the focus on the Face ID that will strengthen the part more for the users but signifies less possibility for the Touch ID.

Currently, the iOS 15.4 brings a lot of features for users in the beta, with its soon release coming to the public for their use and access to the different functions it brings. The new version brings several bug fixes on the current version, including that of the Siri bug that users were not particularly intent on removing but bids farewell courtesy of the company.

Apple's beta focuses on bringing many features for users to focus on the different offers of its OS and landscape to obtain a better experience with the devices. Safari's new feature will ensure that the login process will go smoothly and intended for the said user. Owners can input multiple accounts with different passwords on a single website.
