Steam on Chrome OS

As per a report by Android Police, it has been two years since the arrival of Steam on Chrome OS has been confirmed.

The Director of Product Management of Google Chrome OS, Kan Liu, himself confirmed that the gaming platform Steam is coming to the operating system of the search engine giant.

After two years, Google has yet to reveal any concrete details regarding Steam on Chrome OS.

However, the source code of the testing version of the operating system has been unraveling massive details about the upcoming Steam support.

In fact, last Jan. 28, a source code of the Chrome OS testing version suggests that the arrival of Steam support is coming soon. It comes as the code revealed that Google is working to allow RGB support for keyboards.

Although the mere RGB support of Chrome OS does not automatically confirm that a gaming Chromebook is coming, the colorful lighting feature is best paired with playing games.

According to a recent report by Tom's Guide, the code from Chromium Gerrit included a total of seven Chromebooks, which supports "Borealis" the rumored code name that Google is using for its Steam support.
