The Chaos Computer Club is Europe's biggest network of computer hackers and its annual congress draws up to 3,000 participants.

The giant smartphone maker is not the only one affected by the latest malicious campaign. Even the chipmaker Qualcomm is also included in the massive data hack.

Recently, LAPSUS$ allegedly breached the data of Nvidia using virtual machines that are still active on the chipmaker's data system.

Now, it seems like the hacking group is focusing its attention on new tech firm targets.

Aside from this, the hacking group also said that gadgets and other technologies that use Samsung accounts are also compromised.

On the other hand, Qualcomm's biometric unlock operation algorithms were also affected by the latest hacking campaign of LAPSUS$.

As of the moment, security experts said that it is still unclear if the cybercriminals behind the online attack against Samsung and Qualcomm will use the leaked data to ask for ransom.

But, there's a high chance that the hackers will ask for money since they also demanded Nvidia to send $1 million.

LAPSUS s Recent Massive Attack

The rising LAPSUS$ hacking group seems to be becoming more active. Recently the hackers were able to compromise more than 70,000 employee email accounts.

The reliable website "Have I Been Pwned" confirmed this detail, which allows consumers to check if their emails are included in some malicious campaigns.

"We are aware that the threat actor took employee credentials and some NVIDIA proprietary information from our systems and has begun leaking it online," said Hector Marinez, an Nvidia spokesperson, via The Verge

In other news, a Google Drive update has been deployed. This new feature allows users to check any suspicious activity on their Drive accounts.

Meanwhile, around three billion Google Chrome users were at risk of 28 attacks targeting Mac, Linux, and Windows systems.
