Sony Walkman's Comeback

However, the tech giant is selling its next-generation iconic music player for a hefty price tag, which is even higher than the price of an iPhone 13.

As per a news story by Audacy, the Japanese tech giant, Sony, introduces two new models for the Walkman, a more expensive gold-player version and a cheaper aluminum alloy model.

The two all-new Sony Walkman revives the massively popular music player from its grave while introducing modern features without compromising the quality of sound that audiophiles clamor for.

The brand-new Walkman now comes with WiFi connectivity support, allowing its users to download and stream the tunes that they want to listen to without having to plug in the digital media player.

On top of that, the new version of the Walkman also comes with a massive 5-inch touch screen display, making overall navigation easier than ever.

What's more, the Sony digital media player also supports playing MP3 files in high definition quality.

But if you are an audiophile who could not settle with the compressed audio that MP3 brings, it could also play music under lossless formats, such as Flac and the new Apple Lossless.

Sony said during the launch of the new Walkman that its users could "enjoy the subtlest nuances of studio-quality sound in higher than CD quality with High-Resolution Audio."

Sony Walkman Gold Plated Version

According to a recent report by DailyMail, the all-new Walkman series comes with a gold-plated version of the digital music player.

It is worth noting that the gold design of the Walkman is not merely a fancy design upgrade that seeks to make it look more luxurious. Instead, the gold plating helps in the overall sound quality of the device.

Sony has infused an oxygen-free copper body, along with gold plating, to improve the sound quality of the Walkman by reducing its electronic noise.
